Frequently Asked Questions

Is eSense the same as an intimacy or wellness app?

No. Unlike available intimacy apps, eSense does not focus on tips, techniques, or “maximizing performance.” While the program does provide education, it goes much deeper.

eSense is a digital therapeutic program based on clinically validated psychological treatments – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT) – developed by expert sex therapists and researchers who deliver these approaches in clinical practice. The program is structured, progressive, and evidence-based, designed to address the underlying psychological and emotional drivers of sexual concerns rather than offering quick fixes.

Yes. eSense was built by experts working alongside women experiencing sexual concerns where their input directly shaped the design of eSense. It has been tested in multiple clinical trials and women in these studies report large improvements in sexual desire, arousal, sex-related distress, and emotional sexual satisfaction, with outcomes comparable to in-person therapy. eSense is designed to closely mirror a therapy experience, with structured modules, guided exercises, real-world examples, and reflective practices, but with the added advantage of being able to complete it on your own, and at your own pace.

eSense uses the same therapeutic frameworks as specialized in-person sex therapy but delivers them in a digital, self-guided format that’s more accessible and private. While you can work with a non-licensed (but trained and supervised!) navigator, you can also choose to work entirely on your own.

This means:

  • No waitlists or referrals
  • No scheduled appointments
  • Lower cost than traditional therapy
  • The ability to work privately and at your own pace

For some women, eSense may be a first step before therapy; for others, it may be sufficient on its own.

eSense is designed to support women experiencing:

  • Low sexual desire
  • Problems with sexual arousal (vaginal lubrication and feeling “turned on” during sex)
  • Distress or anxiety related to sex
  • Genital pain during sex
  • Sexual changes related to childbirth, menopause or other life transitions
  • Sexual concerns related to cancer treatment or medication with side effects that impact libido, or other factors such as stress, mood, body image, or a history of trauma

The program focuses on the psychological and relationship context around sexuality, rather than mechanics or performance.

Many women using eSense have complex or layered experiences, including medical history, emotional stress, or past trauma.

eSense is designed to be gentle, flexible, and trauma-informed. You move at your own pace, and there is no requirement to disclose personal details. If you are currently receiving medical or mental health care, eSense can be used alongside that care.

When you sign up for eSense, you receive 14 days of complimentary access to the first of eight modules.

This allows you to:

  • Experience the therapeutic approach
  • Understand the structure and pacing
  • Decide whether the program feels right for you

You only continue with the full program if you choose to after this period. There is no subscription and no obligation to proceed.

The program is designed to be completed over a period of approximately 12 weeks, but it is fully self-paced. Many women appreciate the ability to pause, revisit modules, or move more slowly depending on their needs.

Yes. Privacy and confidentiality are core to eSense’s design. The program is completely individually, and your personal information is handled with care and discretion.

Throughout eSense, you’ll have opportunities to journal and complete exercises. You can choose to use the secure forms within the platform or download materials to store privately on your own device. You remain in control of your information at all times and can delete your data whenever you choose.
